[as newborn babes,desire the pure milk of the word,that you may grow thereby,if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious]
As we continue with thinking about what we have in Christ Jesus,let us again know that we have several uncountable benefits in Christ.when we become born again we do not feed on the old food of the world but rather special food from God which is His word.
Therefore let us look at the meaning of Food.
*Bread
*cuisine
*Diet
*Eatable
*Edible
l want us to discuss three sub topic if we are looking at the lord has serve us with a special food.
1.The word of God
2.The will of God
3.The way of God
THE WORD OF GOD
Peter tells us that we should desire the sincere milk of the word to grow thereby.1peter 2:2
God word is food for the inner man and divine nature from God.Paul teaches us that the Bible is inspired and profitable.
II Timothy 3:15-17[and that from childhood you have know the Holy Scripture,which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.^16 All scripture is given by the inspiration of God ,and is profitable for doctrine ,for reproof,for correction ,for instruction in righteousness,^17 that the man of God may be complete,thoroughly equipped for every good work.
From the above quote we could see that the word of God which is food is profitable for doctrine,reproof,correction and instruction in righteousness.
The writer of Hebrew teaches us that we should become teachers of the word of God...Hebrews5:12-14
This can be done by accepting it ,altering because of it and having affection for it.
THE WILL OF GOD
We are to study Gods words to prove the good ,perfect and acceptable will of God.
Roman 12:2
The word of God is a revelation of Gods holy will for us our lives.The Bible tells us what God want from us.
Remember Jesus prayed for the will of the will of the Father to be his will in Luke 22:42
The will of the Heavenly Father is best for you.He knows all things we do not.
THE WAY OF GOD
The fruit of the spirit is a demonstration of the ways of God.when we read Galatians 5:22-23.
The lord teaches us that His ways and thoughts are not ours, looking at Isaiah 55:8-9[For my thoughts are not your thoughts,Nor are your ways my ways say the Lord ^9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth ,so are My ways higher than your ways ,And my thought than your thought]. The lords ways and thought are higher than ours so in all our ways we need to connect them to him.
God words strengthen us ,supplies us and causes us to be serene.
The ways of the Lord are spiritual in nature ,that is why they are not ours.
we cannot live us Christians without feeding on the word of God.Never leave a day without His word.
Remember as believers in Christ Jesus,we have food from God.
