Wherever you travel to, go out and explore the country. Meet people and their culture. You will see it is worth it. South east asia is a good area to start, easy to travel and lots of different cultures.

## Thailand
The culture of Thailand is strongly influenced by other peoples. by peoples who had already settled there in previous years, but also by neighboring countries.
The fact that thailand was never clonialized probably also plays a major role in todays culture.
Tourists from all around the world come to thailand every year to experience the multifaceted culture and the inexhaustible hospitality and serene mentality of the thai people.
Thailand was my first destination outside of europe, my first big adventure and that´s one reason why I will always come back to that beautiful country.

## Indonesia
While the biggest part of Indonesia is muslim, there is this small island next to **Java** with almost no muslim influence. I´m talking about Bali. But Bali has a very strong hindu culture and it is almost impossible to not see this. Unless you spend your whole vacation at your resort. I heard people like this exist.
In Bali there is a ceremony for almost every occasion. A new school is inaugurated, ceremony. Someone is getting married, ceremony. A child is born, ceremony.
I am pretty sure that a ceremony takes place almost every day somewhere in Bali. This is not only a great event for the Balinese, but also for the tourists, because Balinese ceremonies are known for being very colorful.

## Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, capitol of Malaysia and home of more than 8 million people. This is very fascinating since Kuala Lumpur was only founded in the middle of the 19th century.
However, this does not mean that the city has no culture. Quite the reverse! So many different cultures and religions live peacefully together. There are Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, Hinduists, Christians and more and this is something you will see on the street as well.
Kuala Lumpur really fascinated me and when I walked the streets it put a smile on my face.
