Ci saranno tantissime nuove serie tv ad attenderci nel 2021 (a proposito, non perdetevi i post relativi alle nuove serie tv che ci attendono nel primo anno della nuova decade) ma ci saranno anche alcuni titoli che torneranno a farci compagnia, alcuni con la loro seconda stagione e preceduti da tantissima curiosità, altri con una rivisitazione che fa gola a moltissimi, altri per l'ultimo saluto.
Prima di andare avanti, però, vi regalo i 3 link di cui vi parlavo in apertura perchè oggi son buono e non voglio farvi aspettare troppo prima di sapere dove e come raggiungere lo spazio meraviglioso in cui sono nascosti i nuovi tesori seriali del 2021!

Gomorra - Sky Italia
Forse non la serie più attesa in assoluto ma sicuramente quella che in Italia sarà scandita da un countdown poderoso.
L'adattamento del leggendario libro di Roberto Saviano ha rappresentato una svolta per tutta la serialità italiana.
Stefano Sollima, all'epoca del debutto, ripartì dal lavoro già fatto con Romanzo Criminale, arricchendo Gomorra con un taglio più internazionale che, da più parti, ha stimolato un paragone con l'eterna The Wire di David Simon.
La quinta sarà l'ultima stagione della serie tv Sky Original, intermezzata dal film L'Immortale, incentrato sulla figura di Ciro.
Sono stati tantissimi i protagonisti che hanno rimesso le penne durante il sanguinoso percorso gomorriano. Come moderni Highlander sono in pochissimi quelli che sono rimasti in piedi.
Mentre il numero dei personaggi diminuiva a causa della dipartita di numerosi protagonisti, il numero degli spettatori cresceva enormemente.
La fine di Gomorra, in ogni caso, rappresenterà uno spartiacque per la serialità italiana, ma anche internazionale, alla stregua di quello che rappresentò il suo esordio 6 anni fa.
Better Call Saul - AMC/Netflix
Dalla serie più attesa in Italia a quella più attesa nel mondo.
Anche Better Call Saul terminerà la sua corsa e lo farà con una sesta stagione che si preannuncia decisiva non solo per le svolte che si attendono all'interno della storia ma anche per capire dove si potrà collocare questa straordinaria serie tv nel panorama delle serie tv contemporanee.
Lo spinoff di Breaking Bad verrà ricordato per aver rivoluzionato il modo di fare spinoff e per la sua qualità indiscutibile, ma sono in molti, da Del Toro ad Arofonosky, che la reputano migliore di Breaking Bad, più complessa da scrivere e, di conseguenza, sulla vetta della speciale classifica delle migliori serie All Time.
Per chi, come me, credeva che nulla potesse mai superare in qualità e coinvolgimento Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul è stata una rivelazione e una gioia.
E' un caso se a giocare questa partita sia una serie tv che attinge da quello stesso universo, che approfondisce i caratteri e le storie di Saul Goodman, Gustavo Fring, Mike Ermentrhaut, partendo dal materiale della serie madre e rivoluzionandolo a priori in un incredibile flashback lungo 6 stagioni?
Non è un caso, cosi come non è fortuito che dietro questa visionaria operazione ci siano quei geni assoluti di Vince Gilligan e Peter Gould.
L'ultima stagione non è ancora approdata sugli schermi ma Better Call Saul già ci manca.

The Witcher - Netflix
La prima stagione di The Witcher era stata accompagnata da grandissimi sospetti e altrettanti toni trionfali.
Tra i fan più sfegatati e i detrattori più accesi, la serie tv Netflix tratta dalla saga videoludica che tanti appassionati ha generato negli ultimi anni, si era configurata come un prodotto vivace ma pieno di difetti perdonati da alcuni e imperdonabili per altri.
Henry Cavill è stato molto apprezzato trasversalmente e le riprese della seconda stagione preannunciano una serie tv che quando tornerà dovrebbe essere capace di raccogliere quanto buono fatto nella prima, per cancellare, o quantomeno limare, difetti atavici presentati nella prima annata.
In ogni caso, è innegabile che The Witcher sia stata un piccolo fenomeno globale, non ai livelli di Game of Thrones ma sicuramente in grado di regalare al mondo una serie fantasy degna di questo nome, diversa da tutte le altre e con la sua identità.
Attendiamo la seconda stagione per decidere se alzare o abbassare definitivamente il pollice.
In un modo o nell'altro, qualcosa mi dice che ce la godremo fino in fondo.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel - Amazon Prime Video
Come si può non attendere quel gioiello di The Marvelous Mrs Maisel?
Quel geniaccio di Amy Sherman Paladino ha regalato a tutti noi, negli ultimi anni, una serie tv che non sapevamo di aspettare, di volere, di desiderare ardentemente.
Dialoghi frizzanti, personaggi brillanti, scenografie di altri tempi, capacità di intrattenere e raccontare e soprattutto una protagonista da olimpo della serialità.
Rachel Brosnahan ha fatto impazzire tutti in questi anni, facendo incetta di premi e navigando nel mare della serialità come una veterana, lei che veterana non era e che con la sua vervè ha reso tutti noi un pò più felici e determinati.
Donna fortissima, divertentissima ma anche ricca di ambiguità e complessità.
Un essere umano sfaccettatissimo che calato in un contesto patriarcale ma al tempo stesso libero da ogni conformismo ha generato una situazione unica che non possiamo smettere di amare e di aspettare.
Stranger Things - Netflix
Ho, personalmente, sempre avuto uno strano rapporto con Stranger Things, abituato a raffreddare gli animi più entusiasti dei miei amici e conoscenti impazziti per la serie dei fratelli Duffer ma, al tempo stesso, costretto ad ammetterne la portata megagalattica a livello di impatto seriale.
A ben vedere di Stranger Things quel che resta è soprattutto l'iconografia di una serie che è riuscita a condensare in sè stessa decenni di leggerissima fantascienza, fatta di mostri e alieni sotto il letto, pedalate nei boschi, suggestioni scanzonate e personaggi d'altri tempi incapsulati in una fiala contemporanea patinatissima.
Della storia in senso stretto si ricordano in pochi, della trama in pochissimi.
Nonostante questo, Stranger Things è una di quelle serie tv imprescindibili, che troverete sugli scaffali degli appassionati e nelle classifiche specializzate.

The Morning Show - Apple TV
E' stata una delle sorprese dell'annata 2019-2020.
Se volessimo usare un gergo calcistico tramontato da qualche anno, potremmo dire che The Morning Show è la serie tv bandiera della Apple TV, piattaforma streaming dell'azienda di Cupertino, di precocissima e recentissima inaugurazione.
The Morning Show, complice anche un cast di primissimo livello, era riuscita a regalarci uno spaccato di realtà, realtà che veniva vivisezionata secondo vari punti di vista, grazie anche al formato "giornalistico" alla The Newsroom.
Ne veniva fuori un prodotto godibile e intelligente che metteva alla gogna determinati comportamenti riuscendo, tuttavia, a non essere banale e non parteggiare per nessuno, neppure per chi, in maniera superficiale e semplicistica, poteva essere considerato il bene tout court.
Un prodotto stratificato che ha avuto anche il merito di mostrarci attori da sempre iconici nel mondo comedy come Steve Carrel e Jennifer Aniston, in un quadro più serio e drammatico, con risultati eccezionali.
La seconda stagione si candida, ancor prima di uscire, ad essere una serissima pretendente ai premi che contano.
L'amica Geniale - Rai HBO
Tornando al panorama seriale nostrano è innegabile che, se Gomorra rappresenta la serie da copertina che noi italiani possiamo e vogliamo sfoggiare in tutto il mondo, L'Amica Geniale è la serie tv che vorremmo e potremmo presentare a qualsiasi festival con grandissime speranze di successo.
La terza stagione della serie tv Rai / HBO diretta da Saverio Costanzo e tratta dai romanzi di Elena Ferrante è forse il prodotto che più di ogni altro si è avvicinato, insieme a The New Pope / The Young Pope, all'idea di capolavoro per noi italiani.
Un ritratto intimo di un'epoca che è oramai storia, quella del dopoguerra, del boom economico, del rione che diventa paese, della città che diventa metropoli, dei sogni che diventano incubi o realtà a seconda delle pieghe che la vita, delle Lenù e delle Lila di questo mondo, si permette di concedere.
Questo connubbio tra impianto storico e impianto individuale, fra romanzo di formazione e affresco neorealistico, è la vera forza della serie tv italiana, capace di emozionare e terrificare lo spettatore con racconti crudi ed esperienze dolorose ma sempre fortificanti e dannatamente umane, sempre condite dall'eleganza e la ruvidità ossimorica del dialetto napoletano e delle strade del rione, capaci di rendere piacevoli e divertenti momenti che nascondono impedimenti e coraggio d'altri tempi.
American Crime Story: Impeachment - FX
Chiudiamo con un ritorno che per certi versi è un esordio.
Ryan Murphy chiude con la serie antologica di maggior successo della sua seriografia, capace di scavalcare nell'indice qualitativo e di gradimento la sua creatura più riconoscibile, quell'American Horror Story che più di ogni altra aveva lanciato l'autore nell'olimpo della serialità.
American Crime Story era stato il tentativo, riuscitissimo, di raccontare la cronaca con gli occhi attenti e colorati dell'autore di Feud, The Politician, Hollywood e altro ancora.
La prima stagione ci aveva riportato alla faida giudiziaria che aveva inaugurato il nuovo modello mediatico a cui ci saremmo, tristemente abituati. Il processo ad O.J.Simpson è oggi ritenuto l'evento di cronaco più noto degli ultimi 30 anni. Murphy ha contribuito a renderlo ancora più celebre ma soprattutto più compreso e comprensibile.
Stessa operazione, sebbene leggermente meno riuscita, che è avvenuta con il caso relativo all'assassinio del nostro Gianni Versace.
Quest'anno Murphy ci riprova e porta sullo schermo un evento che tutti conosciamo ma che nessuno avrebbe immaginato di poter ammirare in una versione Murphiana di American Crime Story.
Il 2021 vedrà l'assalto all'impeachment, non verso Donald Trump, ma quello "rosa" legato all'affaire tra l'allora presidente degli Stati Uniti Bill Clinton e Monica Legwinsky.

Perhaps not the most anticipated series ever, but certainly the one that in Italy will be marked by a mighty countdown.

The first season of The Witcher had been accompanied by great suspicions and as many triumphant tones.
Among the most ardent fans and detractors, the Netflix TV series based on the video game saga that has generated so many fans in recent years, was configured as a lively product but full of flaws forgiven by some and unforgivable for others.
Henry Cavill has been very much appreciated across the board and the shooting of the second season heralds a TV series that when it returns should be able to pick up the good things done in the first, to erase, or at least file, atavistic flaws presented in the first year.
In any case, it is undeniable that The Witcher has been a small global phenomenon, not at the levels of Game of Thrones but certainly able to give the world a fantasy series worthy of the name, different from all the others and with its own identity.

Gomorra - Sky Italia
Tal vez no sea la serie más esperada, pero sí la que en Italia estará marcada por una poderosa cuenta atrás.
La adaptación del legendario libro de Roberto Saviano ha representado un punto de inflexión para todo el serial italiano.
Stefano Sollima, en el momento del estreno, retomó el trabajo ya realizado con Romanzo Criminale, enriqueciendo Gomorra con un sesgo más internacional que, desde muchos sectores, ha suscitado la comparación con la eterna The Wire de David Simon.
La quinta temporada será la última de la serie de televisión de Sky Original, intercalada con la película L'Immortale, centrada en la figura de Ciro.
Han sido muchos los protagonistas que han perdido la vida durante la sangrienta gomorra. Al igual que los Highlanders actuales, muy pocos han permanecido en pie.
Aunque el número de personajes disminuyó debido a la salida de muchos protagonistas, el número de espectadores creció enormemente.
El final de Gomorra, en cualquier caso, representará un punto de inflexión para la serialidad italiana, pero también internacional, del mismo modo que representó su debut hace 6 años.
Better Call Saul - AMC/Netflix
De la serie más esperada en Italia a la más esperada en el mundo.
Incluso Better Call Saul terminará su andadura y lo hará con una sexta temporada que promete ser decisiva no sólo por los giros que se esperan dentro de la historia sino también para entender dónde se puede situar esta extraordinaria serie de televisión en el panorama de las series contemporáneas.
El spinoff de Breaking Bad será recordado por haber revolucionado la forma de hacer spinoffs y por su incuestionable calidad, pero son muchos, desde Del Toro hasta Arofonosky, los que la consideran mejor que Breaking Bad, más compleja de escribir y, en consecuencia, en la cima del ranking especial de las mejores series de todos los tiempos.
Para los que, como yo, creían que nada podría superar a Breaking Bad en calidad e implicación, Better Call Saul ha sido una revelación y una alegría.
¿Es una coincidencia que este juego sea protagonizado por una serie de televisión que bebe de ese mismo universo, que profundiza en los personajes y en las historias de Saul Goodman, Gustavo Fring, Mike Ermentrhaut, partiendo del material de la serie madre y revolucionándolo a priori en un increíble flashback a lo largo de 6 temporadas?
No es casualidad, como tampoco lo es que detrás de esta operación visionaria estén esos genios absolutos que son Vince Gilligan y Peter Gould.
La última temporada aún no ha llegado a las pantallas pero Better Call Saul ya nos extraña.

The Witcher - Netflix
La primera temporada de The Witcher estuvo acompañada de grandes sospechas y otros tantos tonos de triunfo.
Entre los fans y detractores más acérrimos, la serie de televisión de Netflix basada en la saga de videojuegos que tantos adeptos ha generado en los últimos años, se configuró como un producto vivo pero repleto de fallos perdonables para unos e imperdonables para otros.
Henry Cavill ha sido muy apreciado en todos los ámbitos y el rodaje de la segunda temporada anuncia una serie de televisión que cuando regrese debería ser capaz de recoger lo bueno hecho en la primera, para borrar, o al menos suavizar, los atávicos defectos presentados en el primer año.
En cualquier caso, es innegable que The Witcher ha sido un pequeño fenómeno global, no a los niveles de Juego de Tronos, pero desde luego capaz de dar al mundo una serie de fantasía digna de ese nombre, diferente a todas las demás y con identidad propia.
Esperamos la segunda temporada para decidir si subimos o bajamos el pulgar definitivamente.
De un modo u otro, algo me dice que lo disfrutaremos hasta el final.
