There is a book hidden in the depths of the universe, capable of trapping evil souls inside.
Its cover attracts them, with its textures and colours, making these people open it and thus the book locks them inside, so that they cannot cause any more harm in the world.
Legend has it that from time to time the corpses and hands of those trapped in the book peep out of the cover. But it has a powerful lock that does not allow them to leave, although it only opens when a black soul approaches the book.
At that moment the cover begins to come to life, the symbols of the portal begin to move in different directions.
It is then that the lock opens and from the cover emerges an eye, the eye of wisdom, of universal sight that detects those harmful spirits.
This eye opens and closes, hypnotising these people into opening the book and it is there, at that moment, that they disappear from the face of the earth and leave humanity free.
This book has been in existence for millennia and little by little it devours these dark beings. Their mission still continues. But there is no need to worry, this cover is only activated by these people, the good ones are safe.
# Design process
The design is made with 6 images, a video and 23 layers.
As a first step I created a reddish brown layer on which I placed the leather texture. I worked on this second layer changing the colour, from image - settings - hue - saturation.
Then I created an edge and bevel layer style plus a drop shadow to create the feeling of a book cover frame.
Once this stage was finished, I drew a line with the pen, which I converted to curve, to separate the design, I placed the wood texture and the previous line allowed me to cut, previously selecting a zone, this texture. To it I also placed a bevel and relief layer style plus a parallel shadow.
This gives both layers a sense of volume.
Then underneath the texture layer I placed the bolt, blurring the edges and blending with strong light blending. I used an added edge filter.
Between both textures I placed the bone hand which I duplicated and one of them I inverted the colour and thus transformed it to white. These two layers I duplicated again, in a smaller scale and flipped them horizontally and placed them in another place of the design.
Then I put the cranium in three layers, a big one near one of the hands with merge darken and the other two in the wood part with merge multiply and soft light.
In the animation these previous layers, minus the leather texture layer. Then the following layers will appear.
In the [IA IMAGINE](https://www.imagine.art/) app I generated a portal image in the style of the logo and the dream creator model. That image, after erasing the edges, I placed two layers in the centre with colour overexposure and linear overexposure blends.
That same image I duplicated it twice more with a smaller scale, placing it on both sides with the second blend mode. These will move around in the animation.
To use the video of the eye I took a capture of it and put it in the design in several layers, erasing the edges, in some more and in others less. I added a border filter to the first two.
The blends used are: focal light, darker colour, normal, raster and soft light.
Over the eye I placed another portal in two layers that then alternate in the animation.
Finally, when I animate the design I place in the last seconds the video of the eye over the eye that is in the design, previously I erased the contours of the video so that it blends with the design.
The animation is made completely in After Effects, working the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for a better contrast.

Existe un libro escondido en las profundidades del universo, capaz de atrapar en su interior a las almas malvadas.
Su portada los atrae, con sus texturas y colores haciendo que estas personas lo abran y así el libro los encierra dentro de sí, para que no puedan causar más daño en el mundo.
Cuenta la leyenda que en esta portada de vez en cuando se asoman las cadaveras y las manos de los atrapados en el libro. Pero esta posee un poderoso cerrojo que no permite su salida, aunque sólo se abre cuando un alma negra se acerca al libro.
En ese momento la portada comienza a cobrar vida, los símbolos del portal comienzan a moverse en distintas direcciones.
Es allí cuando el cerrojo se abre y de la portada emerge un ojo, el ojo de la sabiduría, de la vista universal que detecta a esos espíritus dañinos.
Ese ojo se abre y cierra hipnotizando a esas personas para que abran el libro y es ahí, en ese momento, que desaparecen de la faz de la tierra y dejan libre a la humanidad.
Este libro lleva milenios de existencia y poco a poco se devora a esos seres tan oscuros. Su misión continua aún. Pero no hay de que preocuparse, esta portada solo se activa ante esa gente, los buenos están a salvo.
# Proceso del diseño
Como primer paso cree una capa de color marrón rojizo sobre la cual coloqué la textura de cuero. Trabajé sobre esta segunda capa cambiándole el color, desde imagen – ajustes – tono saturación.
Luego le cree un estilo de capa de bordes y biselado más una sombra paralela como para crear la sensación de un marco de la tapa del libro.
Terminada esa etapa dibujé con la pluma una línea, que convertí a curva, para separar el diseño, coloqué la textura de madera y la línea anterior me permitió cortar, seleccionando previamente una zona, dicha textura. A la misma le coloque también un estilo de capa de bisel y relieve más una sombra paralela.
Esto les da a ambas capas una sensación de volumen.
Posteriormente debajo de la capa de la textura de manera coloqué el cerrojo, borrando los bordes y con fusión de luz fuerte. Usé un filtro de bordes añadidos.
Entre ambas texturas coloque la mano de huesos la cual dupliqué y a una de ellas la invertí el color y de esa manera la transforme a blanco. Estas dos capas las dupliqué nuevamente, en una escala menor y las volteé horizontalmente y puse en otro lugar del diseño.
Luego puse el cráneo en tres capas, una grande cerca de una de las manos con fusión oscurecer y las otras dos en la parte de la madera con fusiones multiplicar y luz suave.
En la animación estas capas anteriores, menos la capa de la textura de cuero. Luego irán apareciendo las siguientes capas.
En la app [IA IMAGINE](https://www.imagine.art/) generé una imagen de portal en con estilo de logo y modelo creador de sueños. Esa imagen, previo borrado de bordes, la coloque dos capas en el centro con fusiones sobreexponer color y sobreexposición lineal.
Esa misma imagen la dupliqué dos veces más con una escala menor, colocándola a ambos lados con el segundo modo de fusión. Estas en la animación se van a ir moviendo de lugar.
Para usar el video del ojo tomé una captura de la misma la cual la puse en el diseño en varias capas, borrando los bordes, en algunas más y en otras menos. A las dos primeras le coloqué un filtro de bordes añadidos.
Las fusiones usadas son: luz focal, color más oscuro, normal, trama y luz suave.
Sobre el ojo coloqué otro portal en dos capas que luego alternan en la animación.
Finalmente, cuando animo el diseño coloco en los últimos segundos el video del ojo sobre el ojo que está en el diseño, previamente le borré al video los contornos para que se entremezcle con el diseño.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
