En esta oportunidad me dedico a escribirles desde el profundo dolor que me han dejado mis mascotas, para que me entiendan les voy a resumir un poco, desde niña me han encantado los animales pues crecà rodeada de vacas, cerdos, chivos, gallinas, pavos, patos,caballos loros, perros y gatos de todos aprendà algo.
Un dÃa un amigo de mi papa me regalo un perro muy bonito y sus palabras fueron el te cuidara y a todos lados a donde vayas llévalo y asà lo hacia, el dÃa que lo deje en casa el se salio por la ventana y me imagino buscando mi olor cruzó la calle y lo atropellaron cuando mi hermano me dio la noticia salà corriendo tenÃa 10 años recuerdo que al verlo lo cargue y lo lleve a casa tenia el corazón roto lo lloré mucho y sentÃa que era mi culpa por haberle dejado en casa, ahà aprendà que a los perros no les hace falta hablar para demostrarte su amor incondicional, le dije a mi papa que no querÃa más perros porque ese dolor me hizo sentir muy mal y el entendió y me dijo esta bien hija ya déjalo ir el volverá en otro animalito cuando estés preparada yo sé lo que te digo.
Al pasar de los años mis padres decidieron separarse y nos mudamos del pueblo (Chirgua Edo.Carabobo) a la ciudad de Caracas y comenzamos de cero nuevamente.
Me hice mujer y a mis 36 años me mude a donde actualmente vivimos mi esposo y yo, para mi sorpresa es que hay una señora proteccionista de animales en esta zona y alimenta frente a mi casa una cantidad de gatos que cuando vi cuántos eran dije usted se ha ganado el cielo por esta bella labor que hace.
Hablé con mi esposo y le comenté que me gustarÃa que adoptaramos un gato pero desde bebe para enseñarle desde pequeño a hacer sus necesidades y a ser un gato de casa, él me preguntó si estaba segura de adoptar al gato y le dije que sÃ, me sentÃa muy emocionada por la decisión.
Al principio creÃa que seria una siamesa pero al ver un gato gordito amarillo me enamore sentà que fue amor a primera vista y es ahà donde sentà que ambos nos elegimos, el muy arisco estaba sucio bueno venia de un refugio donde tenia que sobrevivir, tenia hongo en las patas y en sus orejas pero nada de eso me importaba lo que deseaba era tenerlo y asà fue varios dÃas me lo lleve a casa de a ratos para que se fuera acostumbrando pero no querÃa era estar escondido estaba asustadito siempre, un dÃa en la tarde fuimos a llevarlo al veterinario y todo estaba en perfecto estado , buen peso, lo desparacitaron , corte de uñas y al llegar a casa lo bañe para que se viera mejor y asà fue como le dimos la bienvenida a Russo Rodriguez a nuestro hogar.
A los 3 meses notamos que él no podÃa hacer popo pujaba mucho y no le salÃa nada asà lo vimos por 3 dÃas a pesar de estimularlo él no podÃa hacer nada procedà a llevarlo al veterinario y para nuestra sorpresa el tenia una obstrucción intestinal fuerte era muy grande lo que tenÃa en su pancita, el doctor me dice hay que operarlo porque sino él podrÃa morir hicieron la operación ahà mismo de emergencia y al terminar me mostraron lo que sacaron de sus intestinos, le indicaron medicamentos y le dejaron una vÃa en su pata para poder hidratarlo más dieta lÃquida por una semana para que su intestino pudiera sanas ya que la parte donde estaba obstruido se retiró.
Pasaron los dÃas y nos tocó llevarlo a un chequeo a la semana él habÃa reaccionado muy bien a su operación y a su dieta le encantaba el paté de hÃgado y su crema de calabaza con pollo asà fue su alimentación por el resto de su vida porque no le gustaban las pepitas o la gatarina comÃa muy poco de eso su alimentación fue muy sana, el aprendió hacer popo y pipi en su cajita de arena desde el dÃa uno que se quedo en casa, fue un gato muy feliz en su niñez creció muy bello y sano desde su operación.
La energÃa que él le dio a nuestro hogar fue única era tierno aunque creo que el amaba mas a mi esposo y yo era su mascota y quien lo alimentaba jajajaja, un gato de casa en pocas ocasiones lo deje salir y atenta a que no le pasara nada, le encantaba estar con otros gatos y al ir a casa le limpiaba sus patas rosadas y sin callos eran muy bellas.
Russo llegó a nuestras vidas para llenarla de magia, de amor, de responsabilidad, a donde viajamos nos llevábamos al gato cargado y el era muy obediente se portaba excelente, amoroso, explorador le gustaba conocer lugares porque olÃa todo y caminaba asà de a poco viendo todo el panorama.
Nunca durmió de noche a mi lado por eso digo que mi esposo era su amor y su amo yo solo era para su compañera de casa y su amor para conmigo aunque me llenaba de amor era bonito a su manera yo lo amaba muchÃsimo ciertamente el lleno mi vida de ternura y amor, al castrarlo se portó muy bien fue rapidito y se mejoró tan rápido.
Cuando Russo tenÃa año y medio lo note que solo querÃa dormir no comÃa, no bebÃa agua y llame al veterinario me pidió que lo observara y recordé que el dÃa anterior la señora que me lo dio en adopción le dio una sardina cruda y por la mañana hizo popo negro y piche y eso me alerto le comente eso al medico y dure observándolo 3 dÃas cuando vi que ya no habÃa mejora y ya ni con la inyectadora querÃa beber nada el doctor me dijo que tenia mala indigestión y tenia fiebre me dijo que posiblemente la sardina estarÃa mala, no me convenció su teorÃa y termine yendo a su primer doctor ya Russo estaba jadeando respiraba mal y no tenia ganas de nada sus ojos estaban hundidos y yo me sentÃa de lo peor muy triste.
El doctor me pidió que le hiciera unos exámenes de sangre y una placa con contraste de diferente vista para poder evaluarlo, fuimos hacerle todos los exámenes con el encima de una almohada le pedÃa a Dios que le ayudara que mi gato se salvara ya que no sabÃamos que tenia y mientras me daban los resultados me lo lleve a casa mi esposo no estaba estaba de guardia ese dÃa ya que es paramédico.
El doctor me le dejo una vÃa en su pata para colocarle suero al llegar a casa y asà lo hice le puse suero 30 minutos y lo mantuve acostado porque el no tenia ni ganas de levantarse pero en un momento lo que si note es que el busco de pararse para esconderse detrás del sofá y antes habÃa leÃdo que ellos cuando saben que van a morir no quieren que sus amos los vean y yo cada vez más angustiada estaba ciertamente desesperada.
Se levantó del rincón y al momento comenzó a convulsionar por unos segundos fue un momento bastante angustiante para mi por estar sola sin saber que hacer pero recordé de mis cursos de primeros auxilios comencé a darle masajes en el pecho y a darle respiración en su hocico volvió en sÃ, llamé a mi esposo desesperada en ese momento volvió a convulsionar o era un paro respiratorio la verdad no lo se, lo único que si se es que fue un momento muy doloroso y que escribiendo esto revivo todo me duele que no puede salvarle la vida a mi gato.
Vivà mi proceso de duelo como todo unos dÃas muy tristes hasta que lo deje partir tranquilo agradeciendo su bella compañÃa y energÃa para con nosotros un año y 8 meses donde aprendimos a ser padres de un bebe gatuno.
Ahora les cuento que Dios sabe tanto lo que hace dos semana de Russo irse abandonaron a una gata con dos bebés acá y a los dÃas nos dimos cuenta de que ella habÃa ocultado a uno de sus bebés en una mata de plátanos que hay en el jardÃn de la casa y el otro bebe lo habÃan encontrado antes y lo habÃan metido al refugio de gatos a los dÃas se lo mostramos y ella lo desconoce, extraño que ella era mestiza una gatita pequeña de contextura media, amarillita con la nariz chata como si fuera una liga entre angora y mestiza, ella al ser abandonada en esta zona ella lloraba buscando tanto buscando a sus hijos yo la deje entrar y se hizo amiga de Russo ellos jugaban a olerse al escondite, se perseguÃan por toda la casa.
Ruso muere y ella a quien le llamábamos gruñita porque era muy gruñona queda entrando a la casa pero sigue siendo arisca con nosotros y cuando nos dimos cuenta su bebe ya estaba grande y andaba saliendo a la calle buscando peligro y el mejor amiga de mi esposo se enamoró de su bebe y nos pidió que lo tuviéramos en casa mientras se domesticaba y asà lo hicimos le cuidamos hasta que pudieron llevárselo, ese dÃa ella fue a comer a donde los alimentaban y al volver se habÃan llevado a su bebe, ella lo busco ,lo lloro y buscaba su olor por todos lados cosa que me dio mucho pesar porque vi su sufrimiento ella fue una excelente madre era muy cuidadosa con su bebe.
A los 7 dÃas ella entro en celo y los gatos de la calle comenzaron a rondar la casa por su olor y al pasar el celo se llevó hacerle la esterilización, gracias a Dios todo salio bien ella se recuperó bien la cuidamos mucho para que eso fuese asÃ, pasó el tiempo y cuando me di cuenta ella estaba muy instalada en la casa dormÃa conmigo y a veces solo a veces con mi esposo era muy pero muy pegada conmigo y eso fue aligerando la pérdida de Russo claro ninguno es como él pero ella era distinta su alimentación sana como era para con Russo pero ella nunca se acostumbro de hace popo y pipi y la arena veÃa la cajita de arena y se acostaba a dormir jajajajaja era extraño pero nunca lo hizo.
La magia de esa niña gatuna era una cosa impresionante todos tenÃan que decir de ella porque era distinta a todos por su nariz tan pequeña sus ojos color ámbar grandes tenÃa una energia para trepar los árboles muy bella de verdad, pasaba dÃas especiales con nosotros y todos este fin de año cenó con nosotros ella se resguardaba por los sonidos de los fuegos artificiales.
El dÃa lunes 19 de febrero me fui a trabajar en la mañana ya después de darle de comer , bebió agua y me fui y mi esposo la consiguió en el estacionamiento de la casa muerta estaba tiesa y la verdad nos supimos que le pasó, no hubo momento de ayudarle a nada , no tenÃa espuma en la boca, no habÃa sangre, simplemente estaba acostada sin vida, el me llama y se me descompuso el dÃa totalmente pues uno no se espera esas cosas, yo no esperaba este golpe de nuevo y dije Diosito si habÃa algo malo y ella lo recogió perdóname porque la cuide muy bien siempre y no se que le ocurrió un año y 7 meses con ella ahora nuevamente sola sin mascota, sinceramente no se que debo aprender o porque me ocurren estas cosas, sé que tengo un vacÃo emocional desde la pérdida de mi hijo grande y que quizás una mascota no llenara pero eran mis compañeros de hogar, eran mis bebes gatunos y hoy ya no están , que debo aprender? no se que debo asociar con estas pérdidas? tampoco, solo se que me han hecho fuerte pero esto me ha roto el corazón y lo he reconstruido varias veces ya.
Me dijeron que los gatos llegan a la vida de las personas porque tienen una misión y creo que los tres han venido a cuidarme, a amarme y a enseñarme y si me están librando de cosas malas, de maldad y de cosas que no son afectos a Dios les agradezco que hayan dado su vida por mi, y si de verdad ellos reencarnan que reencarnen rápido y los tendrÃa a los tres de nuevo, me siento muy triste por mis pérdidas que trago tan amargo.
Ahora les pregunto a ustedes que han hecho cuando se les han muerto su perro o en este caso sus gatos, sus mascotas necesito saber como saber manejar esta situación que sentimentalmente me tiene fracturada.

My anxieties of parenting pushed have pushed to come out of my comfort zone, take the risk for self-improvements, and aim higher for this innocent soul which is depending on me. Throughout my journey for self-improvement and motherhood, those anxieties were gradually fading and replaced by hopes and optimism. Looking back to my lowest era, I have strayed farther from that phase and now turning myself to a reliable and responsible mother that she could have. It's a hard battle but after all those years, we both are still happy and thriving with how far we've gone into.
This day was a happy moment for us both as she celebrated her 5th birthday. Back in her 5th month as a baby, she was still crawling and would utter unrecognizable words when she wanted to complain as she couldn't crawl properly. But now, she knows how to call me on the phone and ask when will her Birthday cake be delivered. I'm not just singing nursery rhymes to a baby, but talking to casually to a human.
And the song, ***"Slipping Through My Fingers"***, by ABBA resonates into mind as I saw her happily running into me to welcome my arrival. Why do these little kids grow up faster than we can notice? Their sweet giggles are now the loudest laughters at home, bringing colors into our dull family as we all have grown up and working.
I came home late as I still have classes on weekdays, and she already celebrated her birthday with my siblings and parents. However, as promised, I still bought her a cake and setup some simple birthday decorations. She has called me few times for this, and crying when my brothers teased her that she wouldn't have a cake this year because we're on a tight budget.

I bought the **Red Velvet Cake** to compliment the pink decors that I bought. However, she was so excited to eat her cake that we couldn't finish decorating and couldn't even take a good photos of her with it. Just look at how she looked at that cake. I think if we haven't told her to share, she wouldn't gave a slice away 'cause she know it is hers.
After few tries, it was no success! Those were all I could take decently. We gave in to her wishes and gave the slice with her Barbie toy alongside with it. She bought it last time at the town when they went there for a Market Day. She'll play with it until she gets tired of it and tossed it aside on a box of her discardee toys, then retrieve them all when a playmate comes for a visit.

She's too eager to play on the grasses and break free from my wishes. I've never have decent pictures of her since she was little because she don't like to be taken, she'd rather run away. *Well, kids...!* They grow up really fast that you can't hold them for minutes now and they'll start roaming around or play with what they're curiosity leads them to. I have now my little lady that mostly mistaken as my baby sister, for real. We often laughed about it when people don't believe me, not my fault for not aging faster.
Motherhood is a never-ending challenge since we partake in the responsibility. A countless sessions of learning from each other through series of cry and battles, and happiness and victories, being flexible and a multitasker, as to be share personal spaces. We may not be a perfect parents, but letcs do our best to give them what they deserve. And to this little lady I have, the one who introduced colors into my world, I'll never have regrets having her into this world.
