Hello dear friends of **@Vibes**, it is a real pleasure to be here again where I have a lot of fun and also have the chance to listen to very good music performed by true quality artists.
This week I bring you a song entitled **Loving Arms** from the American country-pop group formerly called Dixie Chicks.
This is a beautiful song about love and nostalgia, from the album **Wide Open Spaces**, an album that came into my hands several years ago by chance and that I loved when I heard it, I really liked the style of this group, songs like the one that gives title to the album and others like **"You were mine"**, **"am I the only one (who's ever felt this way)"** and the one I am going to perform, were my favorites.
This group, which is currently called The Chicks, is formed by Natalie Maines and the sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison. It is the second female band that has sold the most records, regardless of musical genre (*after the group Destiny's Child*), with 36 million albums since June 2006.
As I already mentioned, **"Lovin' Arms"** is a song that reflects nostalgia from love, the desire to have the loved one by your side and at the same time a bit of regret for past decisions that, as I interpret it, were made from priorities that at the time seemed right and desired but that really were not though.
It is longing made into a country ballad because that person, whom we love so much and who perhaps we voluntarily pushed away with our way of acting, could see us in the present after many transformations, personal growth, solidification and objectification of priorities,... after realizing that in fact we did want the same things for a future together. It reflects the deep desire to banish loneliness and give oneself completely to that person who once, perhaps, was the only thing one asked for and walked away when not getting it.
In any case, it is my interpretation of the song, here I will leave the lyrics, of course along with the original song, and perhaps, who knows?, you friends might have another interpretation of this theme that I'm performing with much love, respect and knowledge that I am just a daring person who likes to be and participate in the initiatives of this community. Hola queridos amigos de @Vibes, es un verdadero placer estar por acá de nuevo donde me divierto mucho y también tengo la posibilidad de escuchar muy buena música interpretada por verdaderos artistas de calidad.
Esta semana Les traigo una canción titulada Loving Arms del grupo country-pop de Estados Unidos anteriormente llamado Dixie Chicks.
Este es un bello tema de amor y de nostalgia, del álbum Wide Open Spaces, un álbum que llegó a mis manos hace varios años por casualidad y que me encantó cuando lo escuché, el estilo de esta agrupación me gustó mucho, canciones como la que da título al álbum y otras como **"You were mine"** , **"am I the only one (who's ever felt this way)"** y la que voy a interpretar eran mis preferidas.
Esta agrupación,que en la actualidad se llama **The Chicks**, esta formada por Natalie Maines y las hermanas Martie Maguire y Emily Robison. Como ya mencioné **"Lovin arms"** es una canción en la que se refleja la nostalgia a partir del amor, el deseo de tener a la persona amada a su lado y a su vez un poco de arrepentimiento por decisiones pasadas que, como lo interpreto yo, fueron tomadas a partir de prioridades que en su momento parecían correctas y deseadas pero que verdaderamente no lo eran.
Es la añoranza hecha balada country porque esa persona, que tanto amamos y que quizás alejamos voluntariamente con nuestra manera de actuar, nos pudiera ver en el presente después de muchas transformaciones, de crecimiento personal, de solidificación y objetivización de prioridades,... después de darnos cuenta de que en realidad sí queríamos las mismas cosas para un futuro juntos. Refleja el profundo deseo de desterrar la soledad y entregarse totalmente a esa persona que una vez, tal vez fue lo único que pidió y se alejó al no obtenerlo.
De cualquier manera, es mi interpretación de la canción, aquí les dejaré la letra, por supuesto junto a la canción original, y quizás ¿Quién sabe?, ustedes amigos tengan otra interpretación sobre este tema que interpreto con mucho amor, respeto y conocimiento de que solo soy un atrevido que le gusta estar y participar en las iniciativas de esta comunidad. It is the second female band that has sold the most records, regardless of musical genre (*after the group Destiny's Child*), with 36 million albums since June 2006. \n\nAs I already mentioned, **\"Lovin' Arms\"** is a song that reflects nostalgia from love, the desire to have the loved one by your side and at the same time a bit of regret for past decisions that, as I interpret it, were made from priorities that at the time seemed right and desired but that really were not though. \nIt is longing made into a country ballad because that person, whom we love so much and who perhaps we voluntarily pushed away with our way of acting, could see us in the present after many transformations, personal growth, solidification and objectification of priorities,... after realizing that in fact we did want the same things for a future together. It reflects the deep desire to banish loneliness and give oneself completely to that person who once, perhaps, was the only thing one asked for and walked away when not getting it. \n\nIn any case, it is my interpretation of the song, here I will leave the lyrics, of course along with the original song, and perhaps, who knows?, you friends might have another interpretation of this theme that I'm performing with much love, respect and knowledge that I am just a daring person who likes to be and participate in the initiatives of this community.
