En estos momentos no hay nada oficial que ninguna de las compañías confirmó los planes de stablecoins, pero es un rumor muy fuerte, con las monedas digitales es un sistema de pago basado en stablecoins para cualquiera de ellas, esto podría desviar miles de millones en flujo de efectivo de sus socios bancarios.
La gigante de Amazon reportó ingresos anuales de 638 mil millones de dólares en el año de 2024, con ventas mundiales de comercio electrónico que alcanzaron una gran cifra de aproximadamente 447 mil millones para la plataforma.
Un sistema de pagos basado en stablecoins para el comercio y pagos de estas dos reconocidas empresas ofrecería transacciones más rápidas y económicas, esto también ayudaria a estas grandes empresas a ahorrar miles de millones en comisiones bancarias.
Los planes de ingresar al mundo de las stablecoins de Walmart y Amazon podrían depender de la Ley GENIUS, esto planes dependerán el resultado de una legislación clave, la cual es una Ley de Guía y Establecimiento de Innovación Nacional para Stablecoins de EE.UU. (GENIUS).
El proyecto de ley busca establecer mecanismos muy transparentes y reglas claras para poder garantizar las normas de juego y seguridad jurídica para la emisión correcta y confiable de estas de stablecoins y poder así exigir el cumplimiento de las leyes contra el lavado de dinero, esto podría impulsar la adopción institucional de stablecoins en la economía más grande del mundo.
