Great case in point @thecryptofiend. While I don't think it will surpass Bitcoin in market cap or value, I certainly do see it as being BTC's closest rival in time to come. I think it will (hopefully) settle at around 10% of Bitcoins value. Until then (whenever then is) LTC will be great for trading and collecting to HODL. Exciting times!

Very true, and I can honestly see these exchanges being regulated by a body like the FTC. That move would not be in-line with our 'decentralized' movement, but would mean big market makers joined the fold and the crypto market cap would explode towards the trillion mark. While having controlled exchanges would limit us in one way, once funds are out the exchanges, they would still be decentralized and anonymous on the users end. Would be a scary, if not interesting time.
