Lua is cool language. It works similar to python. A lot similar. Though both are being used for different purpose. And python happens to get more screentime than the lua. There is a strong use case for the Lua language though. Like game development and the scripting world gets more attention for this language. 

I recently managed to put the Lua on the Mac OS and thought why not share that with others here who are also into the Mac OS. I feel this would be a good option for anyone who wants to try out Lua language on the Mac.

### Why use Lua Language?

So why would anyone wants to make use of the Lua language? I feel that is because it has variety of the game library. Like say library that allows you to do the game development. There is this game dev library named Love. This would be a good option for those game developers for doing anything small. 

Lua language is also one of those languages which are kind of like glue languages. You use them with other languages and then taht would be a good attempt for you to work with for the games which you want to use and work with on Unity game IDE. I have used some of them and I find them very useful in that context. 

### Web server? Yes, Game? Yes

So let's say you want to create the Apache Server like one in the Lua language? Yes you can do the same. Like say you can use it for the development of the web server. I know that because I have tried one of their useful servers called the Mako Server. It is also a good server for serious usage.

Game development?Yes. You can do that. It is not going to be any hard. But if you play the cards right and use it for small games? Yes, you can make use of that for the games too. I have used it and found the same useful for the small games. I feel it's a good progress on that end.

What about Mac OS? I have installed it on the Windows and the Linux. I thought why not try out for the Mac OS. I can tell you from experience that Mac OS based development would be not so hard. Like say you can setup the Mac OS for your web development or the game dev and use the Lua for the same. 

I feel I am just taking few steps in the Mac OS and my experience so far has been pretty good too. So in that context I'd say that it is a good to start with. I am going to be seeing where this gets me in near future.
