That is brilliant, what a great idea to throw them off course. I need to start doing that so that they get confused. I hate that everything asks for your date of birth, I don't think that should be anyone's business especially if it is linked by government to your identification criteria. It's also very rude to ask a lady's age, don't they know that?

I love the fact that they guy couldn't find anything on you, that's the way it should be if that's what you want. What so many people don't understand is that all of this information that you provide creates a profile and they sell that to the highest bidder. Not to mention that when you cover the receiver of your phone it tells you not to or when you cover the camera it stops working...gee why would they do that I wonder? Everything is tracking us. I try to turn my location on apps on my phone off and I deny them access. Also things like Google maps - why exactly would they need access to manage your phone calls. It all stinks to me to be honest and leaves me with an uneasy feeling. 

I like that proton mail offers a VPN. I'm definitely going to sign up for an account with them. Good security may not be free, but there's a lot that you can do to get as far off their radar as possible. 

I think *they* get at us in every way possible. It's almost impossible to do anything with a government department without going online and using apps like MyGov. They have Medicare and tax linked to it, vehicle registration and individual's licensing and for disabled, retirees or those on pensions it can't be done any other way. It sucks. There's other elements to it as well, but you get my point; having a zero digital footprint is a thing of the past I think. 

I like to think things are pretty secure for me, but yeah, I have a phone and so they know pretty much everything they need to know, including where I am. I have started turning my personal phone off a lot, I don't care if I miss calls and texts, those who know me and I want to respond to, will wait. I leave it home a lot also, I just don't need to be that connected to everything you know? 

I think I'd be a lot more conscious of it and play games as you're doing if I had more time in my day but I struggle to get things done so have to just push on with it I guess.
