`json_metadata`	"{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Steem"],"appCategory":"Steem","appTitle":"At what price would you sell your earned Steem for fiat?","appBody":"<p>Quite simply, I wouldn't.  Even if the price of STEEM were to go up to $10, that would just make my vote worth more on the platform.  Why would I want to not be able to spread that around others that may need it.</p>\n<p>If the price goes up and everyone just continues to upvote as opposed to powering down and cashing out, it will help everyone on the platform.  </p>\n<p>Here is a great example.  You know those big upvotes that everyone is fighting for on musing.io?  Imagine what they would be if the price of Steem were $10 or more.  How crappy would it be if the person delegating to musing.io decided to power down and cash out if the prices got that high.  </p>\n<p>If you believe in the platform your best bet is to continue using it the way you always do as the price goes up and you start earning more.  Hopefully we will see evidence of that soon.</p>\n<p><br></p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3hkhp3l5","appParentAuthor":"acesontop","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

It has been too hard to earn and is different from any other investment.</p>\n<p>Steem fortunately has a difference by the fact you can make more by keeping it and using the platform to harvest more. I have always had bad timing in the past by selling too early or too late so i will hold and grow.</p>\n<p>In the future when Steem reaches the high's that I hope it does I will reap the rewards by building up and taking pa passive income at some point. I am not talking now but in 5 years maybe less. </p>\n<p>Who knows if steem was to hit $100 then your vote would be worth something. My aim is to get to 5000 SP next and that would put me in a position of having a 28 c vote and when steem increases in value to $10 that would be worth $2.80 a vote.</p>\n<p>5000 SP would be worth $50 000 and that is not life changing so will keep it and grow some more. Foe steem to get to $100 or more the platform will have to be busy and who knows with SMT's what it will do. I would hate to sell it and then have to start again. I didn't even sold my Steem (in the form of Steem power) even though Steem reached at the peak of $10 each. I was an all time Steem believer that it could solve the ecological unbalance of social media. Everyday, I power-up my earnings and continue to post everyday. I started my campaign (Minnow to Whale journey) and it has been an amazing journey where I got almost 7,000 Steem Power. It was amazing, fulfilling, motivating and I used to be an inspiration to many Steemians in our community. </p>\n<p>The problem is adulting, I spent my earnings on important things in life and I was torn with a lot of responsibilities in my family. Daily needs, Monthly bills (House ammortization, electricity, water, internet, medicine, and unexpected needs). I drained me financially and I was forced to power down my Steem to cover up the fees. I did hold some, but sold most of my coins. It was unfortunate but I need to do it to solve our financial incapability. </p>\n<p>No hurt, because the reason is valid. But I see that soon, I will be missing this huge pump that will happen once SMT comes. Having in mind that whole crypto world is evolving rapidly staying focused, persistent and postive will make something eventually. As all good things in the world, steem is worth waiting for.</p>\n<p>Ok, lets be objective, if steem reached like 1000 dollars value per coin i would probably think of selling some, but  for egzistential things only. On the other hand in case of steem reaching 1000 dollars i would have some powerfull vote and probably woudn't even need to touch my stake.
