| json_metadata | "{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Question"],"appCategory":"Question","appTitle":"Do first born of a family get more attention from parents than the other kids?","appBody":"<p>I was the first born in my family and I got a lot of attention until my brother came on the scene, I then felt left out and jealous of him and started to play up to get attention, there is a saying, any attention is a attention whether it is good or bad.</p>\n<p>I have friends who say the opposite and they think that there old siblings get more attention.</p>\n<p>When our oldest was born back in 2007 me and my wife bought her all new designer clothes, we would spend £100's a month making sure that all her stuff was new and in fashion.</p>\n<p>when our second came along, things changed a little bit, I think it was because there was less money coming into the house but we used to get hand me downs for her as we couldn't afford to get her designer clothes.</p>\n<p>then when our son came in 2017 this has been a little bit of a charity shop deal as we could not afford to buy new for all the kids. </p>\n<p>I have noticed that my oldest feels secure in our house hold and she loves to be here and she gets attention from us all, our middle child seems to be the one left out as our 18 month old takes all the attention away from her.</p>\n<p>Thinking about the question a little better I think it depends on the parents as well, we know some parents that don't care about there kids and give very little if any attention to them.</p>\n<p>It is a horrible thing to see but that is just who they are, when they are here we make a big deal about them to make them feel like they belong in the world.</p>\n<p><br></p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fk29msh75","appParentAuthor":"iscobet9ja","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
