Buying at the right time is the key though and anyone doing it right now would be in a good position.</p>\n<p>Leasing is a good option but you need to know what you are doing in order to grow. You always have timelines over your head and you never own it. I would never use this option and will always purchase and power up if I have funds.</p>\n<p>Building up your SP is everyone's goal. having more value a  s a vote will gain you more followers and will help earn more curation. I think once you own the new Steem power you will most likely make more from it than the lease period for the same amount spent. If you buy Steem at a high price and then the price drops, you make a big mistake. </p>\n<p>Leasing SteemPower can help you, just make sure you make more during the period of the lease, then the cost of the lease. Otherwise it's a waste of money, you'll end up having a deficit. </p>\n<p>I'd say earning SteemPower is better on the long run. if you learn how to earn, you're king. Leasing of steempower or buying of steempower,which is better on the long run?

It depends on your time frame. If you want your account to grow big long-term, then I suggest buying Steem and power it up. If you just want to throw around some big upvotes for a while, then go ahead and lease a bunch of Steem Power. 

I generally prefer to own rather than lease, and by owning the coins, you have full control of them. They are yours for as long as you want, and can always be used to make you some money.
