In India not all the beggars are without anything. Some of the beggars in India hold money more than what a normal IT employee would earn. I'm not against begging but when a beggar starts his career as a beggar, it is quite true that they don't have anything for their basic needs. But later when they earn a lot from begging, they don't look forward to have a different lifestyle but they continue begging because it comes to them as a easy money. I personally feel that there are many beggars who hold lots of money by begging for several years.
\n
I would like to quote an incident that happened in Karnataka, India. A lady beggar died was left unnoticed. When the police and other officials went to clear the dead body, they explored the things the beggar was holding. They found lots of money held with the beggar. One group of people started counting the money the beggar was holding and they found that the beggar was having around 1 crore 30 thousand rupees. The value comes around 10030000 $. The officials were really surprised to see so much of money with a beggar who had no one else in their life.
\n
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSbgR4VO00c
\n
You can watch the above video for more details. This is because the government is not taking any initiatives to take care of the beggars. If government can at least audit them, there will not be such situations. I feel that government should audit the beggars as well and provide them their basic needs if possible. If it is not going to happen then there will be no wonder that such situations will be very common. I feel that instead of making beggars pay taxes, government should provide them their basic needs and make them not beg for their entire life.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkqx9r2cw","appParentAuthor":"duchessrita","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
