Would you class Steem as a social media platform or something else?

For me it is not a social network, and I explain why, the system of rewards gives it that touch that makes it totally monetary, most people who are in steemit do not share by sharing as is normally done in a social network, and the value that is given to the vote and the steem power to have that monetary value makes the people who participate in it, do not give their vote based on quality or perhaps on the good of a post on an emotional level, but are always based on the monetary value of the steem power and is not something that people give you with pleasure, as it happens in other social networks where people are happy that someone is pregnant or a photo where you are on a beautiful trip and share and people like and gives you like, in steemit that does not happen, because people think first of their voting value and how much it will cost to give you like or upvote and therefore then evaluate the post, it will never be the same as other social networks, there will always be that stigma of how much I lose if I vote and how much I win for healing and if it affects the bias of voters.

I would tell you that it looks more like an article market where people ende their publications offering something in return, that is remarkable at first sight in the trends where almost always those who occupy them with the most votes are articles where they offer rewards or contests, votes or cures, or something that generates some benefit to the voter, you can see for yourself when you like.

The one who has enough voting power makes voting circles and votes himself, and the others look for bought votes or to belong to groups of help where they vote you, in if there is not that freedom that characterizes the other social networks, for the matter of the money, it is like the stone of lock to evolve towards something better.
