<p>This is one logical question. I wonder though when a family member can be said to be toxic. </p><p>However, I can relate with those although it has never happened in my family but I've seen dailies where there's no unity among the children and even parents. </p><p>Well, the first thing I think should be dialog. This works many times as there is often an underlying cause which may not be evident on the surface. It could be that the person is nursing hurt or that is going through very tough times. You try to be there for them and show your support. </p><p>If the person is the ready to dialog, then maybe you should try and create distance between you and the person. Try to avoid confrontation but be of best behaviour so that things could go well. </p>

<p>The easiest way to deal with toxic family members is to distance yourself from them. There are so family members that regardless of how hard you may try to be nice to them, they will still  find a way to be toxic. The easiest way to deal with this type of people is to distance yourself from them.</p><p>After letting them know of how hurtful you find their toxic behaviour and they refuse to  change, the best thing to do would be to distance yourself from them. If you happen to find yourself in situation where you always have to be in contact with them, try ignoring their toxicity by not giving them response. The more you ignore them, the more they would get the message. </p>
