Once we do that, gradually, our boss would notice that we are really dedicated to the job but actually we feel that the job would be fun.</p><p>If a person can't really perform well but requires being the pet of a boss to impress the boss, it won't sustain in the long run. Other employees would always view this individual as a traitor (that's what I always feel).</p><p>But of cause basic things that we need to do in order to at least maintain at a level which the boss can appreaciate at a minimal is our appearance. It should be at least at a level which matches what the society deems acceptable.</p><p>Impressing ourself is the way to impress the boss.
