It could be spread through cuts and small bites so if you know you have a weak immune system or you suffer from something like HIV then be very careful around dogs </p><p>3. Pasteurella: This is a bacteria that's seen in most infected dog bites and it can cause extreme pain and redness in the affected area. Like the previous one, it's most harmful to people with weak immune systems.</p><p>4. Tetanus: Any open wound can be exposed to Clostridium tetani which causes tetanus and when a dog bite is extremely deep you run a risk of being infected.
