The world is supposed to be heading into the worse of a mini ice age cycle. It would be interesting to see how this will effect SA. Isn't the influx of people from other parts of SA also adding to the water problem? It's probably Jacob's fault as he probably insists on his swimming pool being full at all times LOL. Well, it going to be interesting. They (the ANC) told him to step down, and I don't think he will. The damage is done so the worse it gets for the ANC the better. I rather hope he doesn't step down and it has to get nasty. People only learn the hard way. We would have water delivered to certain areas for drinking when they turn off the taps. The salt water will be for flushing the loo etc. which isn't a good idea, but neither is bad hygiene LOL! The problem here is politics, and as you mentioned, the rapid population growth of CT. The rainfall has been diminishing, but that is not the only issue. The DA didn't want to lose voters so they never pushed hard enough for the funds to sort it out. Now, it will bite them in the arse. Some are saying that they have deliberately let it get this bad to declare the region a disaster region so we CAN get the funds out of the ANC. The ANC hates losing and especially the Western Cape, so they have tried every dirty trick in the book to make this province fail. It's STILL the best run province so that is say something.

I listen to John Maytham on capetalk most days so I still follow events in SA. I can feel the frustration people are have with the ANC. It must be very frustrating watching such a great country being destroyed by a bunch of clowns. That's why I am very unlikely to ever return. I suffered from various anxiety disorders for 50 years so the stuff in SA really got to me. Fortunately about 6 weeks ago I found out what was causing it and now I am finally free of it. I replied to you thread. I don't really listen to anyone anymore. I get my info via the Internet and filter it. I am always surprised at the intense stupidity and selfishness of people. Sometimes it's better just not to listen to the news. Get it on YouTube hehe. The trouble with SA has been from Mandela days. two decades later, the country cannot sustain this dictatorship and blatant corruption. People are shocked when I tell them MY version of the truth. As they say, history is always rewritten by the victors. It's the same in every country, some are a little better. As much as these changes scare me, I really cannot wait for the banking industry to collapse in on itself, but sadly, it will be the little folk who will suffer the most.
