title"Slogan / Shilling Brainstorming!"
body"## Convincing People To Accept Free Money Is Harder Than I Thought!
If there has been one thing that has made it difficult to get people to join Hive, it's how to present it. I don't know about you all, but I constantly get accused of falling for what "must be MLM or a pyramid scheme!" It's like as soon as we talk about money, a red flag goes up that says scam, and people stop listening as soon as they see the flag. I believe this this is largely due to the fact that we're not present ourselves as best we could, and thus we get lumped in with all the millions of scams, MLMs, and pyramid schemes!
## First Try Not To Scare Them Away!
As I mentioned, I found telling people about the money to be made on Hive, leads to people immediately suspecting that you have an agenda, or that we ourselves have been fooled! One thing I've tried, is to not tell people about how they'll make money on Hive, and rather just focusing on all the other features of Hive. On the plus side, if you do get them to join, the getting money part will suddenly be a very nice surprise for them!
## Ways To Get People’s Ears
One thing that has been working for me recently, is referencing features of Hive that are solution to current issues we're seeing today. I've personally found that calling Hive a hedge against Facebooks monopoly on our online interactions, or the censorship thqt comes with that, has gotten a lot more people to listen to what I say next. Other benefits are no data gathering, advertising, and fact checks on everything!
## How To Explain The Difference
One thing that I haven’t seen many people mention, or perhaps articulate clearly, is how Hive actually feels different than other Social Medias. I find that the interactions are much more pleasant, and genuine on Hive, than I do on facebook especially. I personally think it's due to the fact that we all have "skin in the game" with Hive, because we are as users, basically part owners of this platform. That and the fact that offending people, or being rude, could lead to downvotes, which actually mean something. Personally I feel like facebook shows my posts to people with opposing views, because it knows it will generate more reactions, and discourage certain subjects from being discussed.
## Lets Turn This Into A Strategy For Everyone To Use!
This is all about brainstorming, so lets discuss what people have found successful, what doesn't work, and turn this into a guide for anyone to use to promote Hive better. I also think the unified approach would make us seem more professional than the average shit coin shiller!
