Hoy les comparto una conmovedora experiencia en donde se ven involucrada la empatía pero también la compasión.

### Empatía y compasión
He aprendido que una va de la mano con la otra, como puedo demostrar compasión si no entiendo su situación, y allí es donde entra la empatía, al colocarnos en el lugar de la otra persona o ponernos en sus zapatos comprendemos lo difícil que es una situación o problema para el que la tiene, que si nos detenemos a pensar que sería de nosotros si estuviéramos en su situación o como me hubiese gustado que me trataran responderíamos sin duda que con compasión, cariño, empatía, que alguien, tan solo alguien nos entendiera. Y esto a su vez nos impulsa a querer mostrarles comprensión, Consuelo y amor. Buscar formas prácticas de ayudar.

### Empathy and compassion
I have learned that one goes hand in hand with the other, how can I show compassion if I do not understand their situation, and that is where empathy comes in, when we put ourselves in the other person's shoes we understand how difficult a situation or problem is for the one who has it, if we stop to think what would happen to us if we were in their situation or how I would have liked to be treated we would answer without a doubt that with compassion, affection, empathy, that someone, just someone would understand us. And this in turn drives us to want to show them understanding, comfort and love. To look for practical ways to help.

### El problema
No veo, No escucho, No hablo. O en otras palabras, Sordo, ciego y mudo, es la vida que lleva un amigo muy alegre y querido, el cual conocí en el Estado Bolívar, Venezuela.
Su situación se fue complicando poco a poco con el paso de los años, su padre con quien vive nos comentó que él no era así cuando nació, sino que fue después que se le desarrolló toda esa serie de complicaciones. Y como son de escasos recursos, fue imposible realizarle estudios médicos.
Al verlo me imaginé estando yo en su situación, rodeado de mucha oscuridad, y oscuridad que no pasaría, yo veo la noche y al día siguiente el amanecer, pero él no la ve, Para él todos los días son noches, algo muy triste y lamentable.

### The problem
I don't see, I don't hear, I don't speak. Or in other words, Deaf, blind and mute, is the life of a very happy and dear friend of mine, whom I met in the State of Bolivar, Venezuela.
His situation was complicated little by little over the years, his father with whom he lives told us that he was not like that when he was born, but it was later that he developed a series of complications. And as they are of limited resources, it was impossible to perform medical studies.
When I saw him I imagined being in his situation, surrounded by darkness, and darkness that would not pass, I see the night and the next day the dawn, but he does not see it, for him every day is night, something very sad and unfortunate.

### La comunicación
Aprendí que es mediante el lenguaje de señas, pero ¿si no pueden ver? Me impacto la primera vez que vi como otros se comunicaban con ellos. Otra persona le hacía las señas en sus manos y estos a través del tacto lograban saber lo que se les quería decir, fue algo muy asombroso y sorprendente para mí.

### Communication
I learned that it is through sign language, but what if they can't see? I was shocked the first time I saw how others communicated with them. Another person would make the signs on their hands and through touch they would know what they wanted to tell them, it was something very amazing and surprising to me.

### Entra en acción la empatía, compasión
Visitando a mi cuñada en el Estado Bolívar, su esposo me invitó para que lo acompañara a visitar a alguien, ¿a quién? Pues a nuestro querido amigo de quien les comento al principio de este escrito.
Así que decidí acompañarlo, al llegar a su casa observé que la puerta estaba cerrada y me pregunte ¿cómo hará para que salga?. Resulta que el esposo de mi cuñada vende perfume, así que cuando lo va a visitar se lleva un perfume y lo rocía en la casa del Sordo, de cierta forma este llega hasta el olfato de nuestro amigo e inmediatamente detecta que es él y se acerca a abrir la Puerta rápidamente.
El esposo de mi cuñada lo está ayudando a aprender el lenguaje de señas. ¿Cómo lo hace?
Por ejemplo, lo pone a tocar una silla y le hace la seña de silla en sus manos, una ventana, una puerta, una pelota y así sucesivamente.
Gracias a esa ayuda que se le brinda, nuestro amigo ha ido poco a poco defendiéndose con el lenguaje de señas.
Como vemos, la empatía nos impulsa a brindar ayuda práctica a quien la necesita, en particular a aquellas personas que tienen alguna discapacidad.

### Empathy, compassion comes into action
Visiting my sister-in-law in the State of Bolivar, her husband invited me to accompany him to visit someone, who? Well, our dear friend who I told you about at the beginning of this writing.
So I decided to go with him, when I arrived at his house I noticed that the door was closed and I wondered how will he get me to go out? It turns out that my sister-in-law's husband sells perfume, so when he goes to visit him he takes some perfume with him and sprays it in the Deaf man's house, in a certain way it reaches our friend's sense of smell and he immediately detects that it is him and goes to open the door quickly.
My sister-in-law's husband is helping him learn sign language. How does he do it?
For example, he gets him to touch a chair and he signs chair in his hands, a window, a door, a ball and so on.
Thanks to this help, our friend has gradually been able to defend himself with sign language.
As we can see, empathy drives us to provide practical help to those who need it, particularly to people with disabilities.

### Conclusión:
La empatía abre el camino hacia la compasión e incluso la bondad, nos permite sentir el dolor de otros en nuestro corazón, como es estar en una situación complicada o grave.
Y esto a su vez nos ayuda a saber como tratar a quien vive una dificultad y brindar apoyo incondicional. Esto sin duda ha dejado una huella imborrable en mi corazón.
Gracias por el espacio, por permitirme compartir estos bonitos sentimientos expresados en esta experiencia, nos vemos hasta otra oportunidad.

### In conclusion
Empathy opens the way to compassion and even kindness, it allows us to feel the pain of others in our heart, as it is to be in a complicated or serious situation.
And this in turn helps us to know how to treat those who live in difficulty and provide unconditional support. This has undoubtedly left an indelible mark in my heart.
