When reading Prophetic text from The Holy Bible, it is very important that we understand what is written.
Many times, we hear people explaining things, using words that are synonymous with what is written, yet in all these "modern words" and "definitions" it is easy to get confused or miss something that may be extremely important.
When being warned about a kettle or pot being hot, we take notice, because we don't want to be burned. We understand what it means in that given warning. Yet, all too often, when it comes to warnings in Biblical Prophecies, many simply "go by what they think they know" instead of actually delving into the definitions.
Why?
Idk, personally I am very serious about these warnings in The Holy Bible, after all, as various mathematicians have calculated the chances of one man fulfilling all the prophecies about The Messiah in The Old Testament, and come to a 1 in 10 tot he power of 20 something, all the way up to one in ten to the power of 33 (and possibly other calculations with results of similar magnitudes), and mathematics is a precise science (knowledge).
No point in arguing that I have better chances of winning the lottery almost every day of the week than what one man had of fulfilling all that was prophesied about The Messiah.
Apart from that rational point of view based on maths, there is also the fact that I believe, not only because I see the rationality in it all, but also because there is something there that I can't quite put my finger on it. So rather than deny all the facts, all the recorded history, all the events that have come to pass simply because there is one thing that I can't quite "understand", again, I choose, yes, my choice, to go with believing and understanding that was was, is and shall be is not something that I as an individual shall be able to change in the universal scheme of things. I am grateful that there are warnings given to us (humanity) and that we can be happy in a humble life that is not all about materialistic things.
It is all that and much more that gives me the will power, the enthusiasm to study up on what all has been laid out in front of us.
Because, I may be in the image of God, but I am not a god, this part is all too clear to me and as such am happy that God is there for me and everyone else who sincerely wishes Him to be a part of their life.
Understanding, or should I say, trying to understand the versus is no easy task and by no means do I claim to fully understand everything. What I do state is that I am learning and will try to keep learning without dismissing something simply because of the fact that I may not fully understand it.
I refuse to live in denial and reject what has been made all too clear to me and anyone else out there who wants to see it, hear it, accept it and live in the security that no physical thing or words of man can describe.
I hope that you too can find the time in all these troublesome times to research the warnings/prophecies given to mankind in The Holy Bible.
It is definitely more intriguing than any novel or movie out there.
