Hello, friends.
Today is Friday and I was at the theater with my daughter today. In autumn and winter, we like to go to theaters as a family, and this time we bought 3 tickets to the Young Spectator Theater, but my wife couldn't go, so we were alone with my daughter.
The play was called "Boys". The production is based on Dostoyevsky's novel "The Brothers Karamazov". If any of my subscribers have read this novel, they should understand what it is about. This is one of the parts of the novel, which describes the relationship of teenagers aged 12-14 years in the middle of the 19th century.
In the description of the play, there was a request not to organize a hike in whole school classes, because the play is very dramatic and children should watch it not in company, but individually. But I saw that the children came in large school groups accompanied by teachers. Is it good or bad? It's not for me to judge.

The theater begins with a hanger in the wardrobe. But this time the wardrobe was attacked by teenagers, so I can't show you this action.
Usually, we sit in a small cafe for a while before the performance, but this time we didn't have time. Cafes in our theaters are no longer working. They were closed during the covid pandemic and after the end of the pandemic, they were not allowed to open. But I came straight from work, and my daughter came straight from school. We'd like to have a cup of coffee and a cake.

My daughter and I walked around the foyer a little, and looked at the new paintings dedicated to autumn. This painting is called "yellow and blue".The name is not very patriotic at the moment, these are the colors of the Ukrainian flag. I was even surprised that such a name was allowed.

My daughter and I sat down in our seats and waited for the performance. Teenagers were sitting around us and suddenly I heard that a young man wanted to sit in our seats. Damn. I said - here are my tickets to these seats. After 5 minutes, it became funny to me. I realized that I had bought tickets not to the stalls, but to the amphitheater! There were no more empty seats in the stalls. And I'm used to always buying a ticket to the stalls. My daughter and I went to the amphitheater. The auditorium in this theater is small, so we could see everything on stage well.

Yes, this dog in front of the stage is made of stones. During the performance, there was a dialogue between the characters and at this time they were collecting a dog from stones. If someone is familiar with Dostoevsky's book "The Brothers Karamazov", then they understand that in the play "Boys" there is a dog character. This is a very important character.

My daughter was not familiar with this novel. At the very beginning of the performance, the essence of the novel was not clear. I had to tell her more about the beginning of the action. Then she understood the essence. The performance lasted 2 hours. This time is not enough to show the entire chapter of the novel. The beginning and the end of this work were shown on the stage. I found a movie based on this work on the Internet and tomorrow I will show it to my daughter. It's a sad movie.

My thoughts are confused in my head from the impression of the performance. It takes a lot to write to tell about what we saw. Or just read the chapter "Boys" from the novel "The Brothers Karamazov".
