Hello, friends especially needleworkers!

Recently i read the article about contest on needleworkmonday community, https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@needleworkmonday/needlework-your-jewelry-for-mothers-day-a-needleworkmonday-contest. After read the article of course i keep thinking about what i made for mom for mother's day and also to join this competition.

Fortunately, the set of crochet hooks that i had ordered plus tapestry needles and yarns arrived..
Also some other yarns i ordered from the other store (sorry that i forget to take a picture of it) also arrived so i then thought why don't making mom jewelry from the yarn?

Well maybe you asked me why i would like to make the jewelry for mom?
Beside she is my mother, she is also the best friend i have. I go anywhere with mom, through many joys and tears. Enjoy many pretty places, through many sorrowful in life and so many other experiences which we have passed through together...

What did the jewelry i plan to make for mom?
What i planned to make for my mom is a braided crochet bracelet. This idea came to my mind because the only one jewelry mom likes wear is bracelet. For the crochet, as it was my newest needlework hobby, so i would like to try to make a jewelry for mom with this skill.
First pardon me because i know it wouldn't be a perfect jewelry you could find but at least i have tried my best in making it and finally i finished it just last night. Now let me share to you how i made it.

# Working time:
approximately 5 hours, mostly i spent while i was watching the fantastic beast 3 on my tab ;)

# Difficulty:
quite difficult for me

# Skills needed:
- basic crochet skills of chain and half double crochet
- basic hand sewing

# Materials & things needed:
- blue yarn in size 2 (but i was using the cream yarn before, the texture was a bit too chunky and had no volume so i then decided to change it into the blue one i had)
- 3.5 size of the crochet hook
- a button

# How to make it:

# 1ST
I started by making the slipped knot with the yarn then i made 3 chains. After that i took the yarn over my hook then passed it through the first chain, then i got three loops.

# 2ND
Next i passed through the yarn through the first loop. Still got three loops, then i passed through the yarn over three loops until i got a loop. Did the same for the rest of the yarn.

# 3RD
I then changed the yarn to the blue one, because it had more volume. I did the same thing until i got around 60 cm of the yarn crocheted.

# 4TH
With the yarn i crocheted i made a braid. Then whipped stitch the yarn, sew the button on it.

# 5TH
Last i did chain 6 to the other side. Then i whipped stitch to the crocheted yarn. Finished.

Voila, this how the braided crochet bracelet for mom looked. The front looked braided and the button is on the back. I know she would like it much.
