Hello. Well, we're going to play some games again after many years to see how well they've aged.

I always see references to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the internet. But I remember I went straight to Pro Skater 4 back then.

It's something that happened in my early days as a gamer. Since I was looking for the most updated experience if there was a title with multiple versions and not much backstory involved, I used to play the latest versions. These new versions usually learned from their previous works and had improvements.

That was my logic as a kid who wanted to have a good time with a great video game.

This happened to me with Crash Bandicoot as well. I finished all of Warped, but I only glanced at the previous ones. And that's because they came on the same CD.

Currently, I like to give myself the chance to try out the first titles to see how they are. But if I had to replay any of the Pro Skater games, I would definitely choose the one I spent several hours playing years ago.

The first two video games have a remake. I've played it, and it looks amazing.

The remake of the fourth was canceled, so we still have the original to replay it with all its old-school PS1 graphics. No problem, that's what it's all about.

Truthfully, I wasn't aware back then of how awesome the soundtrack of this video game was. It makes me feel somewhat proud to have played several PS1 titles, not just this one, with a truly incredible soundtrack.

Perhaps I returned to the PS1 for the soundtracks and didn't even know it.

I didn't have any expectations. But honestly, I've had quite a bit of fun replaying it.

I tried this game when I was a kid. And I think the most I used to do was spend a lot of time in free skate mode.

Since the game was in English, back then I didn't progress much because I didn't understand the missions, but you know, it was still fun. Now I feel like I'm coming back not just out of nostalgia... But because there's something unfinished. Which is really playing the video game.

First, I took a typical tour like I used to, a bit of two players. Playing Graffiti and seeing who could score more points in a set time.

I remember using this game for multiplayer fun with friends. It wasn't my main multiplayer since most didn't know how to play it, but it was one of the options.

After this nostalgic tour, we started the career. You can create your character and as you complete challenges, they give you points to improve your stats, to jump higher, go faster, or just have better balance.

I didn't remember this. I was the typical kid who went through the video game without knowing he could improve his character's stats.

You can unlock soundtracks, skateboards, video clips, maps, etc. So it has many things that now, having more experience in video games, I can enjoy because I understand all the content it provides.

To pass the time, it's one of the skateboarding video games from my childhood that's available, with very few requirements, allowing me to finally learn to do incredible skateboard combos.

I've had a lot of fun. I'm playing it with a PS3 controller that connects via Bluetooth to the laptop. I'm surprised it even has the controller vibration activated.

I realize every time I do a rail trick or fall violently, the controller vibrates. I didn't know it had that. I'm just getting into all the configuring and testing of video games. It adds more immersion to the gaming experience.

At least in this case, I feel like the 2 hours of setup won't just be for playing 30 minutes of various PS1 video games. As it often happens.

I want to not only try out the best titles of PS1 and Nintendo64 but also to truly delve into them, exploring more of their content than before.

What retro video game would you revisit?
