We decided to move back to Uppsala central, then walked around in the town. I visited Uppsala almost 3 years ago. At the time, I did not have much time to explore the town, so it was nice to take much time to explore in the town this time.

The cathedral is located very closed to Uppsala University. It seemed that they were renovating the exterior of the cathedral when we visited there. The cathedral is huge! I believe that it is one of the biggest cathedrals in Sweden.

I was a bit surprised when I found the grave of Carl Linnaeus in the cathedral! Wow! There are many graves and relics of notable Swedish royals, scholars in the cathedral. Gustav Vasa, the founder of modern Sweden is buried in this cathedral as well.
The cathedral is very beautiful and huge! The stained glasses are amazing as well! I wondered who has been paying for the cathedral and was paying to renovate the cathedral today.
I have heard that Sweden is becoming more and more secular in terms of the number of people who believe in any religion today. Some of my friends in Sweden decided to withdraw themselves from the members of the Swedish Church so that they do not have to pay any annual membership fees (well, I do not know the official name for that...) to the church.
I thought that it was interesting when we were talking about the membership fees to the church. I forgot exactly how much, but the annual fees were not as expensive as the monthly membership fees of Netflix. It reminded me how Netflix is shaping some thoughts and perspectives of people all over the world. Before the Internet era, churches and any religious facilities used to have a big impact on our daily lives in many ways like education, medical (ritual), marriage, economy, funeral, etc. And, they shaped the perspective of the world how we should think and feel towards certain types of people, groups, and nations. Yet, today, people are becoming more and more secular in some points, and Netflix (LOL!) and other big global companies are shaping how people perceive the world instead of churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and shrines. I am not talking that religions are bad or good, however, I simply thought that it would be very interesting what would be like in the future.
People used to read the Bible to learn how to write and read, but we watch YouTube videos and Netflix to learn new languages like English, Swedish, and Korean.
It will be more interesting when decentralized platforms like HIVE and others grow and spread around the world in the future. We will see what kind of world we will live in.
In Sweden, they used to use a Runic language (Rune) which the Vikings used. And, they believed in Nordic mythology as their religion (Odin! Thor! Freyja!), however, when time went by, the Runic language was replaced by the Latin alphabet, and Nordic mythology was replaced by Christianity.
The Swedish language remains as well as the Church of Sweden today, however, more than 80% of the Swedish people speak very fluent English and more and more Swedes are becoming secular (because of Netflix...JK JK).
What kind of world we would live in the future of Web3.0!?
We all speak English, the language of the Internet, and believe in Cryptokitties as gods? LOL!

I go to a Swedish language school after I work and I met some classmates who studied at Uppsala University. They all said that the university was amazing and had a good education. And, they also explained that the faculty was very helpful. Well, I hope that I go to this beautiful campus someday to study something I am interested in. ππ
