I'm not going to lie, I've never even heard of this console. I can't recall a single person when I was growing up that even ever mentioned this one at all. I really need to sit down one night and delve into gaming consoles from the 80's/90's and see all of what I missed. I've also come to release that Cartoon Network still has some decent shows on from time to time apparently, as I've heard like 5 people bring up Regular Show over the past 3 weeks complaining that there isn't more of it. Maybe that's just an odd coincidence, lol.

Yeah, Master System was barely even a thing over here. Nobody in the US was really aware Sega existed until the Genesis dropped, and even then it didn't explode until Sonic. It was a steep uphill battle against Nintendo.

Was the Genesis released shortly after this one? They pumped out quite a few consoles there in the early 90's it seems like. I know there was the Sega Saturn released around that time as well, though the first Sega console I remember hearing about was the Dreamcast, but I'm a 90's kid so yeah, lol.

Yes, and many popular Genesis games were later ported to the Master System with diminished graphics and sound in order to help its sales in markets where it was still relevant. That's why we got so many oddly ambitious *de*makes like Ristar, Tempo, Magic Knight Rayearth and more. Although the other big part of it was the Game Gear was basically a portable Master System, so they could easily release those titles for the GG as well to double the sales.
